In house of dragon season 2 we are going to see Vermithor Dragon which was once ridden by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen in 48 AC and it is 100 years old at the time of dance of dragons (fire and blood).
Vermithor is also called The Bronze Fury due to its appearance and it has great tan wings and Vermithor is the second largest living dragon at the time of Dance of Dragons and silverwing is the mate of Vermithor.
During the Dance of Dragons Vhagar was ridden by Aemond Targaryen by the Greens Side which is the largest dragon they have on their side and the Black’s Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen needed dragons to put up a big fight and defeat Vhagar and more dragons.
Vermithor was not claimed by anyone after the death of king Jaehaerys I Targaryen. Vermithor resides in dragonpit with rider less (no owner to claim her) and many tried to claim but it burned them to death and refused and accepted Huge Hammer as his owner (rider).
Who Rides Vermithor in House of Dragons Season 2?
Vermithor’s first rider is King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and later during fire and blood in dance of dragons many attempted to ride Vermithor but Vermithor burnt them to death and only Vermithor bent his neck to Huge Hammer who is the blacksmith bastard.
Hugh Hammer rides Vermithor and took him to the battle of gullet flies into air along with other dragons sheepstealer, silverwing, Vermax, Seasmoke
Is Vermithor the Largest Dragon?
Vermithor is the second third largest dragon living at the time of fire and blood (dance of dragons) and Vhagar Dragon and Balerion Dragon are only the 2 dragons which are larger than Vermithor and only Vhagar is the largest living dragon than Vermithor.
But Vhagar is old and Vermithor is younger than Vhagar and it lacks speed whereas Vermithor is faster and it can give a tough fight with Vhagar but it was killed by Caraxes Dragon which is Daemon’s Dragons in Dance of Dragons.
